About

In October 2023, the European Commission published the Action Plan for Grids (COM/2023/757), a strategic document aimed at developing and strengthening Europe’s electricity grids to support the energy transition. As part of this initiative, DSO Entity and ENTSO-E have been jointly tasked with highlighting technologies applied in the electricity transmission and/or distribution system that can improve the efficiency, stability, security, and resilience of the electricity grid.

The DSO/TSO Technopedia is a collaborative platform for sharing knowledge on grid technologies. By submitting applications, external stakeholders can contribute valuable information about specific grid technologies and their use cases.

To uphold the system operators’ focus and ensure the quality and accuracy of published information, the associations will act as moderators. A transparent review process will ensure the platform remains inclusive, non-discriminatory, and representative.

See detailed guidance on the application and review process.

Disclaimer

The DSO/TSO Technopedia is a website moderated by ENTSO-E (the TSOs’ association) and DSO Entity (the DSOs’ association). Both associations serve equally as moderators and content contributors, but each limits its content creation and review to topics within its own area of expertise.

Users of the DSO/TSO Technopedia must observe the distinction between content relevant to and managed by DSO Entity, including its technologies and use cases, and content relevant to and managed by ENTSO-E.
